The Great Continuum of Graphics Cards.

Confusion Reigns! I am thinking about upgrading my graphics card as the onboard technology seems to have difficulty handling some of the graphics in Call of Duty when there's lots of baddies on the screen (did I say that earlier?). But there are so many graphics cards and variants on the market that I'm utterly confused.

It's like a continuum of graphics cards, so there's no hope of getting an entry level one or a medium one or a high spec one, as there are no conceivable boundaries in price or abilities, each card appears to differ only subtly from those that lie €5.00 each side of it in price!

Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a 512MB Radeon 6600. Does any random or regular (regular? Hah!) visitor have any advice help or clue about this?

Thanks.

Oh, and Pete? The Lech is quite nice.

Having finally gotten around to reading your blog, I figure it's a far better way of spending time with you.... all of the useless info with the added advantage of choosing not to read it!
