I saw this, a brand-new sign on the arrivals side of Pier D, Dublin Airport, coming back from London last weekend. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, whether to applaud the marketing efforts of a certain loft-access ladder company or rue the inability of the Dublin Airport Authority to check the work of a signmaker.
Maybe this isn't the worst thing in the world, and maybe 99% of the people using Pier D don't give a fiddler's, but we might aswell give up on the language if this is what they're going to do to it at the airport.
Anyway, we didn't go to the attic in the airport. I haven't emailed the Airport Authority yet, but I am considering it.

Email them! This is an absurdity. I'm not sure that they have spelt "lifts" correctly, either. Ah, blowing it up, I see that they have not. Nor can they manage a simple fada, it seems.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely email them. Its a disgrace. In fact maybe you could refer them on to Des Bishop - In the name of the fada!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA welcome blogpost, regardless of content ;) it's been ages!
