MotoGP is so much better than F1. Anyone else who just watched the Turkey MotoGP this afternoon will know what I'm talking about. In brief:
1) Overtaking. Lots of it.
2) Young riders winning podium places on riding ability, not by virtue of pitstops or complicated qualifying practices;
3) Riders making up 15 and 16 grid positions over 22 laps (see 1 above) - this helped by wet qualifying admittedly.
4) Occasional crashes;
It was a fantastic race today. Honda-dominated admittedly, but Rossi made up 10 positions, and the 4 leading Hondas had a great tousle at the front for about 15 laps. Plenty of overtaking. New riders coming 2nd, having led the race for a couple of laps, on only their 3rd outing on the MotoGP bikes. Deddly.
More please.
When watching racing, remember this rule. 2 wheels good. 4 wheels not quite so good.
