I came across this website, www.bookcrossing.com a while ago and was intrigued at the idea. Basically, folk leave books in public places (cafés, train stations - places like that) with a little note on them that says "I'm a book, please take me and read me, and log onto the internet that you have me."
Every book has a unique number so it can be identified, and the theory is that you pass the book on all around the world and everyone who came in contact with it can follow its progress. In practice, i don't know what happens, but we shall find out shortly.
I released a Dale Brown book tonight somewhere in Naas, with the wee note in there. I wonder will anyone pick it up and register it? Watch this space!
Meanwhile the hunt for BMW K-Bikes continues.......
