Focus woeses.

€340 to replace the fuel pump. Grrr. So I've put off the next service for a little bit, whilst deciding whether or not I am: a) confident enough in the car to keep it for a while (what else could go wrong? What else will go wrong?) or b) going to buy a different automobile.

I now subscribe to the notion that if you want reliability don't kid yourself about buying not too old from a dealer. If you want cheap maintenance get a new car with a 3 year warranty. If you want a second hand buy one that's older, had a good service history, and that's cheap enough that you can afford to spend money on keeping it running.

And the beemer I've agreed to buy (k75s) is awaiting paperwork from the Dept before I can change the ownership, so I'm waiting on that now too!

At least my bolognese ragu doesn't seem to have killed anybody yet. That's good, isn't it?
