Home for a while this evening. I miss having Internet Access in the new house.... :( No major news, other than the moving in on Friday. Only took 30 mins to get to work this morning, excellent.
Weekend activities included some house-related shopping, seeing Martha's brother off to foreign-land, attending a barbecue in Dublin (thanks Jon), installing a curtain pole, attending a steam rally in Stradbally.
Actually, the steam rally was fantastic. Anyone who has or is a big kid should go to a good 1one. Big shiny steam engines, small shiny steam engines, old tractors, cars and motorbikes all huffing and puffing and being shiny and gorgeous - looking. Brilliant. Oh if only I had the time, money and space for one.......
They had an old thrashing machine there and a baler too, working all afternoon. Anyone driving a steam engine who might have started off clean was seriously filthy after they'd been running for an hour or so! And there was a falconry display which was quite impressive too. Heartily recommended!!
Anyone with any tips for tiling around an electric shower should comment below. Thanks!

Steam Rally sounds good, any pictures?
ReplyDeleteWith regards to tiling around a shower I wonder if the shower is alreadt installed? When we did our shower recently we had not installed the shower gubbins so all that was in the way of the tiles were 2 copper pipes. We cut 2 holes in one tile big enough for each pipe to pass through. We did this in the lathe with a sharpened tube doing the cutting. The first tile was classed as 'practice' but the second one worked nicely. We can discuss more in person.
Nah, forgot the camera. Actually hadn't planned on going, we saw the signs and "spontaneously" (don't tell anyone) decided to go! Tiling may well start tomorrow, fingers crossed.
